Most Payment Facilitators charge a certain amount for having a chargeback. A large number of disputes/chargebacks present unique operational challenges and the fee can help discourage merchants from receiving them in the first place.
Finix offers the functionality to set a Fee using the Dashboard and/or API for the following two scenarios:

A merchant receives an Inquiry

A merchant receives a chargeback
Set Fees through the Finix Dashboard
Application Level
At the Application level, you can set a fee profile for a selected Application in the Finix Dashboard.
1. Under the PEOPLE header, click on Applications. Click on the application link to view additional details.
2. To create a fee profile or update a fee profile, click on the FEES AND RISK PROFILE tab on the top navigation. Then click the Create Fee Profile button.
3. A pop-up modal that displays fee configurations. Select the fee types and then click the Create Profile button to save your changes.
- The Dispute Fixed Fee: This is the fee that is charged when a merchant receives a formal chargeback from Worldpay.
- Dispute Inquiry Fixed Fee: This is the fee that is assessed when a merchant receives a form inquiry from Worldpay.
Merchant Level
1. Under the PEOPLE header, click on Merchants. Click on the application link to view additional details.
2. To create a fee profile or update a fee profile, click on the FEES AND RISK PROFILE tab on the top navigation. Then click the Create Fee Profile button.
3. A pop-up modal that displays fee configurations. Select the fee types and then click the Create Profile button to save your changes.

Set a Chargeback Fee at the Platform Level
