Most Payment Facilitators charge a certain amount for having a chargeback. A large number of disputes/chargebacks present unique operational challenges and the fee can help discourage merchants from receiving them in the first place.
Finix offers the functionality to set a Fee for the following two scenarios:
- A merchant receives an Inquiry
- A merchant receives a chargeback
You can set this feature via the Fee Profile API or use the Finix Dashboard.
Note: This feature is in Early Access mode and is being slowly rolled out.
Using the Finix Dashboard
At the Application level, you can set a fee profile for a selected Application in the Finix Dashboard.
1. Navigate to the Application
2. Click on Create to create a custom Fee Profile for this Application
In this modal, you can specify:
The Dispute Fixed Fee: This is the fee that is charged when a merchant receives a formal chargeback from WorldPay.
Dispute Inquiry Fixed Fee: This is the fee that is assessed when a merchant receives a form inquiry from WorldPay.
3. Save your configuration.
